Your Pension Service began working with Lancashire Constabulary in September 1998 and since then we have seen major changes in the pension world, including the introduction of the New Career -Averaged Revalued Earnings Police Pension Scheme in April 2015.
Each Year Your Pension Service hold seminars for new recruits and pre-retirement courses and will be holding mid-service seminars in the future to deliver informative presentations to officers. In addition, pension surgeries have been provided, giving individuals the chance to discuss pensions issues on a more personal basis.
The service includes the annual provision of a personal pension benefit statement to all serving pension scheme members. Police pensioners receive an annual newsletter "Peelers Post" updating them on critical issues.
In my experience, YPS has provided a first class professional service to Lancashire Constabulary and we have an excellent working relationship. The dedicated police team at YPS provides excellent support to me, my staff and our pension scheme members. The service we receive is very customer focused and staff are always happy to help.
